SHAFER CORN MAZE 2009
Have a Howling Good Time in 2009!

We have transformed our 12 acre corn field into a life
size puzzle! Much more than just a walk in the corn, our
maze paths challenge even the most confident visitors!
Professionally designed and cut by MazePlay, this is the
only one in Minnesota. Our paths are just 4 feet wide
and give you a great hedge labyrinth feel ~ especially
early in the season when the corn is green!

Our Wolf design for 2009 has three mazes within the
design to fit ALL ages. The large maze has 2.6 miles of
paths and is a little more difficult for those that want to
challenge themselves - or their family and friends! The
small maze has 1.2 miles of paths and is an exciting
challenge as well. Both of these mazes have 6
checkpoints to find and punch your ticket with a unique
shaped paper punch. The smallest maze is our ABC
Maze thru September ONLY. This maze has no decision
points and the youngest of visitors can direct the way
themselves! There are letters of the alphabet
throughout the maze for them to find and identify. They
may also bring one back to the courtyard area and fit
onto the ABC board. This trail is .5 miles. Average time
to complete the entire Wolf maze is 1 to 1.5 hours.

NEW for 2009
We are introducing a game we call
"GEO-Maizing". If you like geocaching or using
your GPSr, then this is the game for you! At the
admission booth we will give you the coordinates
for the first of several caches to find throughout
the mazes and maze grounds with a bonus
encrypted message challenge.
Please note that basic maze rules DO apply. You MUST stay on
established maze paths!

NEW this year is the SUDOKU challenge! Within
the small maze are clues to fill in your sudoku
card, come back to the courtyard and fill in the
rest. Your choice of Easy or Difficult! Show us
the correct code and win a small prize!

Also NEW for 2009:
"HAPPY HALLOWEEN HAUNTING for Kids"
Take a daytime walk through our haunted maze
to view the Halloween props and meet our
friendly actors October 31st from 1-5 pm.
Youth (5-11) are welcome to come in costume!

We also feature a Haunted Corn Maze , a farm animal
petting zoo, an Adrian Fisher rope maze, gunny sack
and Pony Hop races, pre-picked pumpkin pile and other
games. We also have picnic tables ~ VENDOR now on
site! Enjoy fresh cheese curds, corn dogs, and more!

The Shafer Corn Maze is located in Shafer, MN near
scenic Taylors Falls, stop in on your trip to see the
spectacular fall colors along the St. Croix River Valley!
