Corn Maze FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions:
1. How is the maze created?
Answer: We plant the field in early may. We then hire MazePlay from Idaho to
design and cut the maze for us. They professionally design mazes all over the
United States each year!
2. What if we get lost?
Answer: We give you a map when you enter with all of the maze paths and
checkpoints marked on it. We have employees that walk through the maze and will
assist you if you need it. We also have a cell number on the each map that will
connect you with the entrance booth. This number should also be used in case of
any medical emergency.
3. Are all the activities included in the admission price?
Answer: Included in admission are the petting zoo, straw maze, corn bag toss, rope
maze, and FSI game (Farm Scene Investigation). Food and beverages are available
at an additional charge.
4. Are wheelchairs able to go down the paths?
Answer: Our paths are four feet wide but are dirt and the condition varies
with the weather. We have had several go through with the report to us being that
it is very bumpy and would only be recommended to those that are very outgoing
and up for the challenge. Wheelchairs designed for flat surfaces are also NOT
recommended. We wish we could better accommodate those in wheelchairs but
with over 4 miles of dirt paths it is just too difficult, sorry.
5. Can small children go through the Haunted Maze?
Answer: We recommend ages 8 and older but it is really up to the parents of the
children. We realize that you know your children better than anyone, you know
best how your child will react and what they have previously experienced. Our goal
is to be family friendly, our scares are based on setting and "surprise".
6. How tall is your corn this year? (2011)
Answer: The corn has grown well this year - approximately 7-8 feet tall with a few
spots a little shorter where water pooled too much in the spring.
7. What do you do with the corn after the maze closes?
Answer: We live on a dairy and beef farm and we harvest the crop to feed the
animals throughout the year. The crop is always important to us no matter how the
maze does because we need the corn to feed our animals throughout the year.
